About Me

Hi all, my name is George Richardson and I am the author of this blog. Currently, I am a full time student at the University of Tennessee. I've grown up and lived in Knoxville, TN my entire life but I've been fortunate enough to have traveled the world fairly well for my age.I work as the photography editor at The Daily Beacon, our school's official paper, but I spend most of my time in my studies in Electrical Engineering.

While photography is a passion of mine, I do not consider it to be a serious job for me at this point in my life. This has it's pluses and minuses, but I really enjoy being able to practice photography without having to report to a higher authority. If I think something is good, then it is. If not, well, I could care less what others think. I feel like at the end of the day if I am happy with my work then it will be more than good enough to be appreciated by others.

My interests in photography center around automobiles, sports, still life, and special events. While most of my practical knowledge lies in automotive and sports, I'm trying to push myself to expand and see what else is out there. I hope this blog will help me show others the regular work I do as well as let me get some feedback on the new things I'm trying for the first time.

Initially, I wanted this blog to host just my work and the discussion surrounding it. However, I've come to realize there is far more to the story behind the images than just the shot and the setup. As such, I'm posting not only those things I've already mentioned but also things that I've found that drive and motivate me. These things might be photography related but more likely than not they'll wander off to what seems like the end of the world. Still, these things are important to understanding where I've come from and how I see things.

Anyway, enough ramblings from a crazy kid. I hope you enjoy the site and take something away from it. If you have any questions, drop me an email at tnwagn@gmail.com.
